My Favs

These are the blog/sites of good souls, whom i respect, and which keep me ticking, when i run out of inspiration and fuel. They are either king of their trade of jack of all trades, and they never fail to raise the bar in any venture they undertake. Ranging from humor, current affairs, contemporary design to UX, Web standards and Front-end engineering, they have it all and hope you will find these useful in the long run. User Experience

Web standards

• Smashing Magazine – The obvious fav for any web guy. Vitaly friedman just rocks ! I just cant stop admiring their perseverance and consistency in posting quality stuff  from around the world. The Smashing book by these guys is simply superb for any level of web designers!
• A list apart – If you are looking for some trendsetting concepts and updates on web …. this is the place for you! Ffounded by the godfather of web-standards – Jeffrey zeldman, it has some pioneering web-standards evangelists behind the scene.
• zeldman.com – The weblog of the godfather of web-standards – Jeffrey zeldman

Front-end engineering

• Css-tricks – The name tells it all. Chris coyier is a expert front end engineer, and he calls himself a web craftsman. Watch out for the coolest webcasts, ive ever seen in his blog.
• Friendlybit – A webdevelopment blog with some finest eye for details on web development. For hands-on insights and tips on coding .. this is the blog to read
• Thinkvitamin – These guys have some good blend of designing, development, productivity related stuff, and they have some cool interviews of budding and established designers/developers too.
• Sixrevisions – This web development / designing blog, founded by Jacob Gube, have some cool information and news for the community, authored by various passionate designers and developers, this easily finds a place in my read list.
• Proto5 – Weblog of a veteran frontend engineer, with whom i was lucky enough to work with. He has some in-depth understanding on the art of prototyping and see it for yourself, in his blog.
• Snook.ca – With some in-depth and unique articles and resources related to front-end engineering, this guy is irresistable

Social media / Trends

• Dailybloggr – Manikarthik, is a SEO expert, now based out of UAE. I am a regular reader of his blog and follow him closely in twitter too. This guy seems to be tweeting 24 hours a day, and the stuff that he posts in his blog are right out of the blue for me most of the times. He just rocks!
• Mashable – The reference point for socialmedia news, trends.
• Techcrunch – All the latest news on social media, gadgets, internet are here !
• Lifehacker – The latest trends and news

Pals / Heroes / Colleagues

• Krishashok’s blog – One of the best blog i’ve ever read, with unmatchable creativity and humor blended with powerful presence of mind. I bet you ll be glued to the posts, once u start reading them.
